多益 TOEIC- Tag questions 附加問句

好久不見. 今天要跟同學聊一下在日常生活中常見的 附加問句. 這也是多益聽力 第二部分 問與答 中常見的問題.所以 供同學參考.
Tag question 附加問句 是一種附加在句子後的一個問句形式. 附加問句以助動詞開頭. 若 主要子句動詞為肯定, 則附加問句 助動詞即為否定,相反的, 主要子句動詞為否定,則附加問句 助動詞即為肯定.
說話者使用附加問句之用意為 同時 呈述他的看法 並 詢問聽者問題.
例如:
I think that you know Bob Wilson, don’t you?
說話者心理已有一個底 一個想法 你可能認識這個人. 而使用附加問句 事期望聽者能夠 確認他的想法是否正確.
期望的回答:
Yes, I do. (是阿,我認識他). / No, I don’t. (不,我不認識)
所以 同學有沒有發現. 你在回答的時候,其實是在回答前面的那個句子. 如果了解這樣的條件狀況下,下次 如果聽到這樣的問題的時候就不用在慌張了, 我們只要回答前面的問題 而省略掉它附加的問題那部份了.

Q: This is a beautiful garden, isn’t it?
A: It is really lovely.

Q. You enjoyed this book, didn’t you?
A. As a matter of fact, I found it boring.

Q. It won’t take a long time, will it?
A. Don’t worry; just a few seconds.

Q. She didn’t miss the class, did she?
A. I don’t think so.

Q. Cathy speaks fluent English, doesn’t she?
A. Her English is excellent.

Q. You remember Howard, right?
A. Of course I do.

Q. This is a quiet place to study, don’t you think?
A. Yes, it is a very nice spot.

Q. This report is clear and neat, wouldn’t you say?
A. Oh, sure, it is well-organized.
